Amarillo Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A three-car accident was reported on Thursday at the cross streets of North Western Street and West Hastings Avenue in Amarillo. A man was driving his Harley Davidson on North Western Street when the car in front of him stopped suddenly, not giving the man enough time to stop. The man was thrown from his motorcycle and the bike continued to skid down the street, smashing into a Ford truck. The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries and the driver of the vehicle that stopped abruptly suffered minor injuries. The driver of the motorcycle, however, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The incident is still under investigation.
In many cases, drivers of vehicles do not see or fail to look for motorcyclists on the road. As a result, vehicles often hit motorcyclists or cause them to swerve. Sometimes, as in this case, the motorcyclist can be seriously injured. Sometimes the motorcycles themselves do not come equipped with proper safety mechanisms, so crashes cause greater injury to the motorcyclist. If you have recently been injured in a motorcycle accident, whatever the cause, a Houston motorcycle accident lawyer from our firm can help you get the compensation that you deserve.
